PREMIER KIA HOSTS"GRAND OPENING" PARTY



On Wednesday, July 19, 2017, Premier Kia officially had their "Grand Opening" Party.  The event featured honored guests, Connecticut senator Ted Kennedy, and Kia Motors COO Michael Sprague, and the official Ribbon Cutting ceremony.  The event was attended by over 100 people.  Here are some official pictures from the event:

KIA NIRO NOW PARTNERING
WITH AMAZON ECHO

 
 


Kia has announced a partnership with Amazon which will create a new marketing channel within the Amazon Echo, the voice-enabled assisted powered by Alexa, to provide consumers the ability to learn more about the Niro Hybrid vehicle.

The Niro Skill for Amazon will enable customers to receive immediate access to information on the Niro direct through Alexa's voice command.  Additional information will be available through www.amazon.com/kianiro.

Also coming in August, will be availability of information through Google Home, Google's version of the conversation assistant.

SUBARU GIVES BACK TO
THE AMERICAN RED CROSS


Subaru of America announced that they have become a Ready Platinum 365 member with the American Red Cross.

The 365 program is relatively new to the Red Cross, and it allows the organization to do more to help those in need.  Not only does the Red Cross help with disaster relief(they respond to over 70,000 disasters a year) but they also provide 40 percent of the nation's blood supply, assist deployed soldiers with returning home in the case of a family emergency, and work to eliminate diseases such as measles.

The Red Cross also provides support for volunteers, as well as for emergency responders, when incidents occur, and this support typically requires significant resources. "When Hurricane Sandy hit in 2012, we raised $350 million to help with disaster response," explained Randi Zamkotowicz of the American Red Cross. "$125 million of that was spent in the first week of active response just on providing meals for the volunteers."

In every issue, we present the story of a pet at a local animal shelter near you who is looking for his or her "forever home". 

 

This is Wendy.  Wendy was rescued from a New Haven basement with her three little kittens. Those kittens have been adopted out and she is now ready for her own home! She is available through the Branford Compassion Club in North Branford. To hear more about Wendy or other pets like her click here.
