According to www.kssmotorsports.com, Kia's official Kinetic Motorsports brand is the official Kia Race team,"Based outside Atlanta in Buford, Georgia, Kinetic Motorsports was established as a full service race and prep shop for Porsche race cars and customer's street rides. Success on the track in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup resulted in a switch to campaigning BMWs in the Grand-American Road Racing, Continental Tire Series. In late 2009, Kia Motors America asked Kinetic to set up a program to campaign the new Kia Forte Koup. As the first- and still only- Kia race team in the world, Kinetic Motorsports designed, built and raced two cars for the Continental Tire Series ST class in 2010-2012. In addition to a number of trips to the podium, Kinetic won a Driver's and Team Championship for Kia in our second season."
