Warranty Advisory

For a number of years, we have received phone call - after phone call - from clients that receive communication or "cold calls" from companies stating that their vehicle warranty is "about to expire".  These companies are never completely specific about the kind of car that you drive, or, seem to know nothing about the factory warranty or, how many times you have used it.  They are vague - but, seemingly intimidating enough to put some "fear" into clients.

They are vague because, these calls are not related to either the manufacturer or the dealer of the car.  These are, quite often, nothing more than telemarketing companies retained by some "unknown" warranty company.  These companies can be rude and intentionally frighten the consumer so that they opt to purchase a "warranty" from them.

We have had customers purchase these warranties over the years and have found, to nobody's surprise, that they cover little - or nothing. 

As a company, we have been proactive in warning our customers to call us if they receive a communication from one of these companies, or, a phone call.  We have encouraged our clients not to respond to these organization since they are - in no way - connected to our dealership, or, even the car company.  Our management has gone even one step further - opening up a formal complaint with the Attorney General's Office of the State of Connecticut.  It is our business position that these companies need to be stopped.  An example of one of these cars appears below - and, was sent to US for one of our loaner cars.
